Chaos broke out in Bexley in the early hours as a blazing inferno tore through a rundown commercial property on Fraser Road. Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters rushed to the scene to battle the fierce flames.

Firefighters Quell Blaze in Just Two Hours

The London Fire Brigade sprang into action after an emergency call at 2:40am. Crews from Erith, Bexley, Plumstead, and nearby stations fought the fire hard. By 4:40am, the blaze was under control, although parts of the old building were left scorched and blackened.

Fire Cause Still a Complete Mystery

The cause of the early morning blaze remains unknown. A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said, “The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.”
