West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A5 in Great Wyrley, in-between Churchbridge roundabouts and the junction with the B4154 at 11.25pm and sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, a Critical Care Paramedic and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered two cars that had been in collision, one of which had overturned. From that car, a woman was found to be in critical condition and already receiving basic life support from fire service colleagues.
