At around 10 a.m. this morning, smoke can be seen pouring from a building on Parchmore Road, next to the Tesco car park in the town (Wednesday, January 18).

A concerned member of the public informed the fire service that a basement was on fire with a person unaccounted for as I knew the people who lived their but weren’t sure if they were at home/
An LFB spokesperson saif : “Six fire engines and approximately 40 firefighters have been dispatched to a building fire on Parchmore Road in Thornton Heath. If at all possible, please avoid the area. More information will be forthcoming.”
