Man Arrested After Knife-Wielding Group Spotted in Amhurst Park, North London

An 18-year-old man has been arrested following a police response to reports of a group of men seen with knives in Amhurst Park, N16.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers were called at approximately 4:50pm on Sunday, June 8, after receiving multiple reports of the group armed with blades in the residential area.


Police Response

Units from the Met Police, supported by British Transport Police, were deployed to the scene and engaged in a pursuit of the suspects.

A Met Police spokesperson said:

“At around 4.50pm on Sunday, 8 June, officers were called to Amhurst Park, N16 to reports of a group of men with knives.
Officers attended to pursue the group, alongside officers from British Transport Police.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.
There have been no injuries reported.
Enquiries continue.”
