Police have launched an appeal after the body of a man was discovered in woodland near an allotment.

The deceased, described as a white male aged between 50 and 55 years old and of large build, is believed to have been in the area for around a month before being found.
A police spokesperson said:
“We are appealing for anyone who may have known this man or has information about him to please get in touch. Any detail, however small, could help us piece together who he was and inform his next of kin.”
