Chaos erupted just past midnight when a car was deliberately rammed into The Centre in Livingston — then went up in flames, sparking a desperate emergency scramble.
Firefighters Race to Burning Crash
At 12:20 AM, police alerted fire crews after reports of a car ablaze at The Centre’s entrance. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they launched a rapid response.
“We were called at 00:24 by police following a vehicle on fire at the entrance to The Centre, Livingston,” a fire service spokesperson said.
Two fire engines from Livingston rushed to the scene and battled the blaze for about an hour. They brought the flames under control before handing the area back to Police Scotland.
