Fire Crews Return to Dartford Heath as Wildfire Hotspots Continue to Smoulder
Firefighters have returned to Dartford Heath this morning to tackle lingering hotspots following last night’s significant wildfire.

According to Kent Fire and Rescue Service, crews identified areas of residual heat and are now using flexi packs and hose reel jets to dampen down the affected areas. A further inspection is scheduled for this afternoon to ensure the scene is fully safe.
Fire Now Under Control – But Public Cautioned
At the height of the fire on Friday evening, six fire engines, a bulk water carrier, and a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) were deployed to the heathland blaze. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
