Hook housing estate under lock down following serious incident

Police have sealed off  a housing estate in Hook following a serious incident.  Residents have claimed that the estate has been cordon off since the early hours of this morning. Surrounding roads have also been sealed off with cordon tape and officers standing guard. Resident are being signed in and out of one road. Officers are keeping stum apart from saying they are investigating a serious incident.  The road  is filled with Police vehicles and scenes of crime officers. Officers have tweeted: We’re dealing with an incident in #Hook, and the B3349 Griffin Way South is completely closed. Please avoid. Thank you for your patience. Residents thanked the police for letting their Christmas party go ahead at the local hook community centre. A spokesman from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said “That a body has been found in bushes and the death was being treated as unexplained and investigation has been launched “.
