House Fire in Chatham Caused by Electrical Fault

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a house fire in Wayfield, Chatham, on Thursday, 30 January 2025.

At 6:03pm, two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, where crews quickly got to work. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used dry powder to extinguish the flames.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and it is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault.

The incident was contained without further damage, and authorities continue to assess the situation. Residents are reminded to be vigilant about electrical safety in the home to prevent similar incidents.
