Investigation Underway After Man Shot in the Legs in Croxteth

Police have launched an investigation after a man in his 40s was shot in the legs in Croxteth last night.

Officers were called to Altcross Road just after 10:10 pm on Friday, February 28, following reports of a shooting. The victim was rushed to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Merseyside Police have confirmed that forensic teams, CCTV reviews, and witness enquiries are ongoing in the area as they work to piece together the events leading up to the attack.
“We know that guns cause misery on our streets, and we would ask for the public’s help in coming forward with any information they have so we can find the person or people responsible,” she said.

“Merseyside Police is committed to removing firearms from our streets and bringing those who carry or use them to justice.
