Kent Police are currently attending an incident at a building site on Kestrel Road in Lordswood, Kent, following reports of a concern for the welfare of an individual who has gained access to the site and climbed a crane approximately 150 metres in height.

Officers have secured the area, blocking off the entrance to the site as they work to resolve the situation.

The reason for the individual’s actions remains unknown, and authorities are urging the public to avoid the area.

Emergency crews are currently coordinating efforts to safely bring the individual down from the crane.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said  Police were called at 9.49pm on Tuesday 22 October to concerns for the welfare of a person near Kestrel Road, Lordswood. Officers, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene and a man was passed into the care of health professionals.
