Police have confirmed that a man has died after entering the water at Millwall Docks in E14 on Friday evening. The man’s body was recovered from Millwall Docks, East London, following the incident.
The Metropolitan Police said they were called at 5.54pm following concerns raised about a man seen going into the water.
Emergency services, including specialist search teams, attended the scene and conducted an extensive search.
Sadly, the body of a man was later recovered from the docks. His next of kin have not yet been informed.
A spokesperson for the Met said the death is currently being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
