A man has died in hospital nearly two weeks after he suffered severe burns during a self-immolation incident on a boat in Pittwater, near Scotland Island in Sydney’s north. NSW Police have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
NSW Police have stated that a report will be prepared for the Coroner, and a critical incident team is investigating the case. Additionally, the investigation will undergo an independent review to ensure transparency in the findings.
