At around 8.25am on Wednesday 9 June 2021 a man is reported to have assaulted a Kent Police officer in the Crown Quay Lane area of Sittingbourne before leaving the scene on foot. A search to locate the suspect, which has been assisted by the National Police Air Service, is ongoing. The officer, who was responding to a report of a disturbance at a private address, was not seriously injured.
