Police in Scotland are appealing for information following a reported assault on three teenage girls that occurred on a bus travelling from Blantyre to East Kilbride. The incident unfolded between 7.10pm and 7.30pm on Sunday, 22 October 2023, between High Blantyre and Calderwood Expressway.
Authorities are particularly interested in speaking to a man who boarded the bus during the mentioned timeframe. Described as approximately 45 years old, white, standing at around 5ft 10ins, and sporting a long dark beard, the man spoke with a local accent. Witnesses noted his overall dishevelled appearance, bad teeth, and the man’s distinctive outfit—a long, dark-coloured knee-length jacket, black skinny jeans or jogging bottoms, and dark boots.
Chief Inspector Graeme McLaughlin emphasised the ongoing nature of the investigation, urging anyone who saw the described man on the bus, witnessed him exiting the bus, or has information about his whereabouts to come forward. The police are keen to gather details that could aid in progressing the case.
