Police Appeal for Witnesses after Car and Motorbike Collision in Glencoe – UKNIP

Police are seeking witnesses to come forward following a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A82 Achtriochtan in Glencoe. The incident was reported to the police at approximately 4.05pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, and involved a red BMW motorbike and a white Audi Q5.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old man, was injured in the collision and was subsequently transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, the driver and three passengers in the Audi did not sustain any injuries that required medical attention.

In order to conduct a thorough investigation, the road was closed for more than three hours. Police Sergeant Calum MacAulay from the Road Policing Unit stated that the investigation is ongoing, urging anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Sergeant MacAulay requested the public’s assistance in providing any information they may have by contacting Police Scotland at 101. Individuals should reference case number 2520 of Friday, July 14, 2023, when providing their account or submitting dashcam footage.
