Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in the neck on a busy street in Croydon on Tuesday afternoon (October 1). Officers were nearby conducting facial recognition checks when the horrific incident took place in front of shoppers on George Street.

A large crime scene has been established, and officers are currently at the location gathering evidence as they continue their investigation.

Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with emergency services working quickly to treat the man and ensure the safety of the public.
