Police in Sheffield are appealing for public assistance following a reported hate crime incident at Castle Square tram stop in the city centre. The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 9, at approximately 5.10pm

According to reports, a man allegedly shouted hate abuse at a victim before physically assaulting them. The suspect then fled the scene.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police by calling 101 or through the online chat feature on the South Yorkshire Police website. When reporting, please quote the investigation number 14/181464/24.
