In a significant operation, police in Lanarkshire have successfully seized cocaine with an estimated street value of nearly £200,000 during a routine traffic stop on the M74 near Lesmahagow. The incident occurred just before 5 pm yesterday.

Following the traffic stop, two men, aged 35 and 39, were promptly arrested in connection with the illicit drug seizure. They are set to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Boxing Day, and a detailed report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
