Residents in the Longfield, near Dartford, area are advised to close windows and doors while firefighters respond to a fire in a domestic garage.

This was due to gas cylinders being involved in the fire, eighteen homes near the incident have been evacuated as a precaution, and the local authority has set up a nearby rest centre.

Crews are working to put out the fire and cool the cylinders to make the area safe, with four fire engines and a bulk water carrier on the scene.

A volunteer response team from KFRS and Kent Police are also on the scene to assist affected residents.
