Road under Police Guard following Christmas Day Death
Sad News to report from the Isle of Wight this morning : A road on the Isle of Wight remains sealed off and under Police guard following the death of a person. Both Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance service attended the incident just after 12am on Christmas morning. Pier Street in Ventnor remains sealed off with a large Police presence. A spokesman for Hampshire999.co.uk” title=”Hampshire”>Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said an investigation has been launched and the next of kin of those involved have been informed. A spokesperson for Hampshire999.co.uk” title=”Hampshire”>Hampshire Police said ” An investigation has been launched after a man died following an incident in Pier Street, Ventnor. Officers were called just after midnight death, which is being treated as suspicious. “I would like anyone who has any information about what has taken place to contact us as soon as possible.” We are not in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased or any further details relating to the incident at this stage.
