Search launched after reports of two people in the water in Southampton

Coastguard search and rescue teams were called out to support other emergency services in early this morning. Hampshire Constabulary had received reports of two people in the water near Northam Bridge, Southampton. Just after 5am. ‪Joint working with Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Team, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, RNLI Calshot Lifeboat and Hamble Lifeboat a search was carried out for pair on water. Nothing was found. The two people are thought to have fallen from a capsized boat. A search continues in land for the pair.
