A Stagecoach bus travelling towards uk/topic/bromley-green/">Bromley Green, near Ashford, caught fire this afternoon on Hamstreet Road, prompting an emergency response.
The incident occurred at around 3:00pm between Bromley Green and Capel Road. Fortunately, all passengers and the driver were able to evacuate the vehicle safely, and no injuries have been reported.
Emergency Services Respond Swiftly
Fire crews attended the scene and quickly brought the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and investigations are expected to be carried out.

Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted while emergency services managed the scene.
Stagecoach Statement
A spokesperson for Stagecoach South East said:
“We can confirm that one of our vehicles was involved in an incident on Hamstreet Road this afternoon. All passengers and the driver were safely evacuated, and there are no reported injuries. We are working with the relevant authorities to establish the cause.”
