Fire crews are making significant progress in tackling a fire at a recycling centre on Hovefields Avenue, Basildon.
The blaze, which broke out earlier today, has generated large plumes of smoke visible across the area.
Group Manager Dave Bond issued a warning to local residents and motorists, advising them to remain cautious:
