A significant fire broke out at a recycling centre in Park Farm Close, Folkestone, on Sunday night, prompting a swift response from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
The incident, which was reported at 10.07pm on June 30, saw three fire engines dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish a large quantity of waste material that was ablaze. Utilizing main jets and a compressed air foam system (CAFs), crews managed to bring the fire under control by 01:04am on Monday, July 1.
The prompt action by the Kent Fire and Rescue Service prevented what could have been a more severe situation, minimizing potential damage and risk to the surrounding area.
