Young Girl Rescued by Gosport Fire Crews after Lift Gets Stuck

Two Fire crews  were called a  block of flats on Forton Road in Gosport this evening (Monday 23rd May) after a lift became trapped between two floors at Garland Court. A  young nine-year old girl had to be freed by crews after she became trapped in  the lift car  within  the  ten floor block of flats. The youngest was stuck in the lift  for about an half an hour but remained calm throughout  the rescue.  Crews used small tools to release the doors of the lift car and freed  the youngster who was shaken but uninjured.
