Holidaymakers have been advised by airlines to arrive at Birmingham Airport three hours before their flights due to ongoing travel chaos and long queues at security. EasyJet has issued this advice to passengers, recommending an extra hour compared to other British airports after a week of severe disruptions.

The disruption began following a government U-turn on the 100ml liquid rule, leading to confusion and lengthy lines stretching outside the airport. Furious passengers have reported waiting in the rain for hours to get through security checks.
