In a troubling incident in Brighton on Lewes Road, between Franklin Road and The Level, a 41-year-old man was viciously assaulted, prompting Sussex Police to issue a call for witnesses and any relevant footage. The attack, which occurred between 11 PM and midnight on Monday, April 29, involved the victim being struck with a bottle, leading to severe injuries.
The victim was promptly taken to a local hospital, where he received treatment for injuries consistent with the violent encounter. Fortunately, he has since been discharged and is recovering.
The suspect, still at large, is described as a man with blond hair, approximately 5’11” tall, last seen wearing a white hooded top and white T-shirt. The specifics of his appearance have led to an urgent community-wide search, with police hoping that local residents or visitors in the area at the time may have valuable information.
Investigators are particularly interested in any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could provide further insights into the circumstances surrounding the assault or the identity of the assailant.
