A heavily pregnant mother and her unborn baby girl have died in a heartbreaking tragedy just weeks before her due date, an inquest has heard.
Aliesha Fisher, 29, was found dead on her bedroom floor by her cousin on December 27, 2024, at her home in Lancashire. She was 30 weeks pregnant, and her baby girl, later named Aria, showed no signs of life when medics arrived.
Emergency Response Came Too Late
Paramedics rushed to the scene after Aliesha’s cousin made the devastating discovery around 10am, just 11 hours after she was last seen alive at 11pm the night before.
Despite frantic efforts, neither Aliesha nor Aria could be saved. The London Ambulance Service confirmed no signs of life for either.
Heartbreaking Tributes to Aliesha and Aria
An online MuchLoved memorial page set up in Aliesha’s memory has raised funds for Epilepsy Action, reflecting her close ties to the condition.
One tribute reads:
“All I think about is you in that room by yourself with Aria, dark and cold. I hope you’re surrounded by love and laughter, Aliesha. Sleep tight and finally sleep peacefully. I love you forever and a day.”
A Life Taken Too Soon
Friends and family described Aliesha as a “gorgeous girl” and a “caring soul” who had been excited to welcome her baby. The pair’s deaths have left a deep hole in the community.
