The mysterious disappearance of Gaynor Lord, a 55-year-old mother of three from Norwich, has raised concerns after she was reported missing since last Friday. Gaynor was last seen leaving her workplace at Jarrolds in Norwich at 2.45 PM, over an hour earlier than her scheduled finishing time.
A close friend of Gaynor, Julie Butcher, revealed that she had two phone conversations with Gaynor on the day of her disappearance. The first call was made at 2.15 PM, shortly before Gaynor left work, and the second call, which Butcher described as sounding like a pocket call, occurred at 4.15 PM. During the second call, Butcher could only hear movement and was unable to establish a conversation.
Adding to the concern, a member of the public found items of Gaynor’s clothing and jewellery in Wensum Park, more than a mile away from where she was last seen. The park has been closed since Saturday as police search the area.
CCTV footage captured the last known sighting of Gaynor at 4.01 PM, walking along St Augustines Street. The footage is currently being reviewed as part of the investigation.
Butcher, who last saw Gaynor at Jarrolds on the Tuesday before her disappearance, described her as fine and quite upbeat, showing no signs of distress or unusual behaviour.
The police have been combing through the area and conducting a thorough investigation, but so far, there is no evidence to suggest what happened to Gaynor after she was last seen. The local community has been left shaken by her unexplained disappearance, and friends and family are desperately seeking answers.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Gaynor’s whereabouts or any details that might assist in the investigation to come forward. The focus is on piecing together the events leading up to her disappearance and locating her as quickly as possible.
This case has gripped the city of Norwich, with residents following updates and hoping for Gaynor’s safe return. The police are continuing their efforts, and the community is holding onto hope that Gaynor will be found safe and well.
