A search has been launched in Sussex this evening after the concern for the welfare of a missing 12-year-old Richard Phorrington from Shoreham.
The Police Helicopter NPAS along with Ground Units from Sussex police assisted by the Coastguard, Shoreham RNLI inshore lifeboat, and Sussex Search and Rescue are all involved in a large area search in the Adur area.
Sussex Police said “He was last seen leaving his home address at 7.30pm on Monday (January 16) but has not been seen since.
Richard is described as being slim, around 5’3” tall and was wearing a long black jacket with a hood, dark jeans, black socks and wasn’t wearing any shoes.
“It is likely Richard is carrying a torch.”
