INTRUDER IN THE NIGHT! Woman Woken by Bedroom Burglar as Hairdryer Stolen in Radford Raid

Police have launched an urgent CCTV appeal after a terrifying home invasion in Radford, Nottingham, where a woman was startled awake by an intruder in her bedroom.

The burglary occurred at around 1:55 a.m. on Saturday, 8 March 2025, at a terraced house on Denman Street West, prompting an immediate police investigation.

What Happened?

  • A man entered the property while the occupants were asleep
  • One woman was woken by the intruder standing in her room
  • A second resident was also disturbed from another room
  • The burglar made off with a hairdryer before fleeing the scene

Police Say ‘This Was Terrifying’

Detective Sergeant Frank Guddemi of Nottinghamshire Police described the incident as:

“A terrifying ordeal for the victim. Although no one was physically harmed, the emotional trauma from such an intrusion is significant.”

The burglary has been classified as opportunistic, but deeply distressing. Detectives believe the man pictured in CCTV images may have vital information.
