A biker has tragically died following a collision between two motorcycles in St Leonards on Tuesday afternoon.

Fatal Smash on Harley Shute Road

Emergency services rushed to Harley Shute Road at around 3.50pm on March 3 after reports of a crash involving two motorcyclists.

The rider, a 50-year-old man from Battle, was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedics’ best efforts. His family has been informed.

Man Arrested, then Released

A 49-year-old man from St Leonards was initially arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police later released him with no further action.

Police Hunt for Witnesses

Officers are continuing their investigation to piece together what caused the fatal collision. They urge anyone who saw the crash or holds dashcam footage to contact the police.
