Sussex Police have charged two men following separate break-ins in Brighton and Felpham in the early hours of Tuesday, 24 February.
Felpham Burglar Nabbed Thanks to PD Billy
Officers swooped on a Felpham home in Limmer Lane around 2.30am after a burglary was reported. Police dog PD Billy tracked down Jacob Meigh, 22, from Stoke-on-Trent, right at the scene. He now faces charges including burglary with intent to steal and going equipped for burglary.
Meigh appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 27 February and was bailed until his next hearing on 7 April.
Brighton Burglar Arrested After Police Dog Tracks Suspect
Just over an hour later, cops were called to a burglary in Kensington Gardens, Brighton. PD Gibbs was brought in to assist and helped find David Mann, 45, who has no fixed address.
Mann was hit with two burglary charges plus three counts of shop theft. He was remanded in custody following his court appearance on 25 February, with another hearing set for 4 March.
