A 17-year-old boy from Brighton was arrested early Sunday following a serious stabbing in Victoria Park, Worthing. The shocking attack happened around 2:45am on Saturday, 28 February.

Victim Seriously Injured, Now Recovering at Home

Police were alerted to a man in his 40s who had been seriously wounded after a brief confrontation with two suspects. The victim was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

Witnesses reported the attackers were dressed in all-grey tracksuits with hoods up and faces covered.

Suspect Held on Multiple Charges as Police Hunt for Evidence

On Sunday, authorities detained the teenager on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, as well as involvement in the supply of Class A drugs. He remains in police custody while inquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Harry Mansbridge said: “We are gathering CCTV footage which could prove vital. We thank the public for the information already received.”
