Essex Teen Charged with Kidnap and Firearm Offences After Harlow Disturbance
Overview
An 18-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and firearm offences following a disturbance involving a discharged weapon in Harlow on Thursday afternoon.
Thomas Pasquariello, of Westmill Road, Ware, Hertfordshire, was arrested on Friday morning, 1 August, after police were called to reports of a disturbance and firearm discharge in the area of Barn Mead at around 4pm on Thursday, 31 July.
Following an investigation, Pasquariello has now been charged with:
- Kidnap
- Threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a private place
- Possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence
- Assault by beating
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% Crown %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% on 2 September 2025.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
PC Cameron Oliver, from %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%, said:
"Our %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% to make this case as strong as possible is ongoing.
I'm asking anyone who was in the Barn Mead playing fields area between 3pm and 4.45pm on Thursday to come forward if they witnessed anything or have information. Even the smallest details may assist us."
