A moped rider tragically lost his life following a collision with a marked police car in Sutton yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:45 PM on Wrythe Lane, at the junction with Erskine Road.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and an Air Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. Despite their efforts, the male rider of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene. Two police officers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
