A person was found dead on the railway tracks in Rainham at around 6am today, October 13. Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save them.
No Suspicious Circumstances, Police Say
The British Transport Police responded quickly alongside paramedics. The victim was sadly declared dead at the scene.
“Officers were called at about 6am to reports of a casualty on the tracks in Rainham,” a British Transport Police spokesperson said. “Despite our response with paramedics, sadly, the person was confirmed dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
