22 Kids and Counting Dad Noel Radford Fined After Court Appearance

Noel Radford, star of Channel 5’s popular series 22 Kids and Counting, has been fined following a court appearance at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on October 21. Radford, father to Britain’s largest family, was penalised for failing to provide driver identification details after an alleged speeding incident.

The court heard from prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood that Radford’s Porsche had been captured on camera speeding at 52 mph in a 40 mph zone along the A683 Bay Gateway in Torrisholme, Morecambe, on November 6, 2023. Despite receiving a letter and reminder regarding the incident, Radford did not respond.

In court, Radford represented himself, appearing in a grey jumper, blue jeans, and trainers. He pleaded guilty to failing to provide driver identification but offered no additional remarks. As a result, he received a £900 fine, six points on his driving license, a £360 surcharge, and £200 in court costs, bringing the total amount due to £1,460. Radford has agreed to pay this sum in three instalments, with a deadline of January 2025 to complete payment.

While Radford initially pleaded not guilty to the speeding charge, Mr Isherwood noted that the Crown Prosecution Service would not proceed with the speeding allegation, leading to its dismissal. Chair of the bench Kevin Kendall acknowledged Radford’s guilty plea, concluding the case.

Radford’s initial trial had been set for September 2, but it was postponed after he failed to attend. He has been cautioned that failure to pay the full amount by January could lead to further action from the court.

This incident has brought further attention to Radford, whose family’s life is widely followed by viewers of 22 Kids and Counting.
