At around 8.10pm on Thursday, 17 March officers were called to a report that a female was sexually assaulted in the area of St Mary’s Road. The victim is being supported by specially trained officers. This morning a 21-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He is still in custody while enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident.
