Robert Taylor also threatened her at knifepoint and assaulted her, leaving her with severe injuries, during his attack at an address in Mansfield.
The survivor, who managed to flee the scene, was taken to hospital. Her injuries included fractured ribs, a severely bruised face, and a bleed on the brain.
