Emergency services are currently tackling a large fire at the Mellish Industrial Estate on Harrington Way, Woolwich. The incident, which was reported at 4:30pm has prompted a significant response from the London Fire Brigade.

A number of fire engines have been deployed to the scene, with crews working to contain the blaze. Due to low water pressure at the site, additional appliances have been requested to support a water relay operation. A Turntable Ladder (TL) is also in use to provide a water tower for enhanced firefighting capability.
Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke in the area.
