Brockley Man Jailed After Street Fight Leaves Two Stabbed in Cambridgeshire

A man from Brockley has been sentenced to prison following a violent street brawl in which his brother and another man sustained stab wounds during a broad daylight altercation in Cambridgeshire.

Jonathan Watson, 38, of Ivy Road, Brockley, was among three men involved in the fight that erupted on Hornbeam Close in March, Cambridgeshire, at around 1pm on March 18, 2023. Police were alerted by a flurry of 999 calls reporting a fight involving weapons in the residential street.
His brother, Kenneth Watson, of Hornbeam Close, and Lenny Evans, of East Drive, were each handed two years and two months behind bars for affray.

Police Statement

Detective Constable Tom Adams, who led the investigation, condemned the incident:

“This level of violence and the brazen use of weapons is absolutely unacceptable.

Residents of this street have, unsurprisingly, been left shocked and upset by the actions of the Watson brothers and Evans, so I am pleased they are all now behind bars.”
