Emergency services were called to Choats Manor Way at the junction with the A1306, beneath the A13 overpass, after a car overturned shortly before 11am this morning.
Images from the scene show the vehicle resting on its roof. Police and recovery crews were called to deal with the incident, which caused delays in the area.
There are no immediate reports of serious injuries, though this has not yet been confirmed by emergency services.
Local witnesses were quick to respond with humour. One bystander remarked the driver was “inconsiderate to park like that,” while another quipped that “some people are roofless.”
The road was partially blocked while emergency services attended, and motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible.
