The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in an alleyway between Park Vale Academy and Rise Park Primary School in Rise Park.
On Tuesday night, a suspect was apprehended in the Top Valley area (31 January 2023).
Shane Nash, of Boniface Gardens in Bestwood, has been charged with rape.
The 39-year-old has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear today at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court (2 January).
The victim and her family have been informed of this significant development and continue to be supported by specially-trained officers,” said Detective Inspector Craig Hall of Nottinghamshire Police.
Although we have charged a suspect, our investigation into this serious crime continues, and I would urge anyone with information to come forward now.
