Detectives Have Issued Cctv Images Of A Group Of Males Who Could Assist With Their Enquiries Following An Attempted Robbery Of A Man On St Kevin's Drive, Kirkby

At around 6pm on Friday 8 April a man in his 40’s was attacked by three males as he was working as a food delivery driver.

The males demanded the victim’s motorbike from him and when he refused and tried to escape, he was pushed to the ground causing his motorbike to fall on top of him.

The males attempted to take the motorbike as the man lay on the ground injured, but they were disturbed by other members of the public and ran from the scene.

Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and detectives have issued CCTV images of people they believe could assist in their investigation.

Detective Constable Lyndsey Smith said: “This was a disgraceful and unprovoked attack on an innocent man who was out working, trying to earn money for his family.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened who has not already spoken to the police or who has CCTV footage of the incident to assist in the investigation.

“I am appealing to the males featured in these images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
