Dorset Police are appealing for help in identifying a woman involved in an assault, criminal damage, and racially aggravated public order incident that took place in Bournemouth. The incident occurred around 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Sovereign Centre on Christchurch Road in Boscombe.
According to reports, the woman became aggressive while attempting to return items to a store, launching a violent attack on a male staff member. She punched the staff member multiple times in the face and neck, kicked the till, and threw items from clothing railings. The woman also directed racial abuse toward the victim during the incident.
Police Community Support Investigator Rachael Buller of Dorset Police stated, “We take reports of violence toward retail staff and hate crimes very seriously, and we are conducting a thorough investigation into this matter. We are now able to issue an image of the woman we are seeking to identify as part of our enquiries.”
