An investigation is underway following a fatal assault in the Finglas area of north Dublin during the early hours of this morning. The victim, a man in his 30s, was found with serious injuries at a residence in the Scribblestown area shortly after 01:00. Emergency services responded promptly, but tragically, the man was pronounced dead upon arrival at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
