Fire crews called to major blaze near Redhill

Fire crews from across Surrey are dealing with a major blaze that broke out in Moat Lane in South Nutfield. It is understood the incident involved a number of vehicles that are well alight, that can be seen from the M23 near Crawley.

A number of appliances from Salford, Godstone and Reigate have been sent to the incident that broke out just after 8.30pm on Sunday evening. Lack of water is hindering crews and further support of a water carrier has been sent to the incident. Surrey Fire and Rescue have said that they have received a lot of calls from concerned drivers who can see the blaze from the M23. The fire is on a farm involving multiple vehicles. The Incident is ongoing. This latest blaze comes months after a previous blaze that destroyed 15 vehicles in July. Fire fighters are having to contend with being unable to access the property properly due to narrow gates. Fire crews are using four hose reels, two jets and two firefighters in breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control. They are also using NAF (foam). Fire investigators have attended but will return at first light to establish the cause of the fire. https:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=madbckgiaMI&feature=youtu.be
