Mr Clark was assaulted outside the supermarket on Upper Elmers End Road in Bromley on the evening of Sunday, 16 March. Emergency services were called to the scene at 8:24pm, where paramedics treated him for severe head injuries before transporting him to a major trauma centre.

Despite their best efforts, Mr Clark died three days later on Wednesday, 19 March.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police confirmed Mr Clark’s identity and said that his family is being supported by specially trained officers as they come to terms with the devastating loss.
